Mini London Marathon 29.4.24

Wow, what an incredible event!!!

This morning Years 1-6 took part in their very own Mini London Marathon. The children ran a 3 lap course for a total of 4km around the school and surrounding fields. They were so committed to their running, and the determination they showed was amazing. The thing which stood out most to all of the staff and volunteers was the fantastic sense of encouragement from everybody. Barn Owls came out with homemade flags and cheered louder than you can possibly imagine, giving every runner a great send off and the biggest cheer as they finished.

A huge thank you to everyone involved who helped make this happen, particularly to the parents who took time out of their days to come and support. I have been amazed with the enthusiasm of all and will certainly be looking forward to repeating this in the future!
