Year 2  Firecrests

 Welcome to Year 2 Firecrests! 
The children in Class 2 at Benenden are now at the top of KS1. The children are encouraged to enjoy learning more independently and are preparing for their transition to KS2. There are many elements of being in Year 2 which will support independence and resilience as the children move forward into KS2.  These include the opportunity to take responsibility for small jobs where possible and to think about what resources will help them do their best in lessons.  There is time to discuss problems or issues every day, and adult support - but this is their time to learn how to shine and show us what they can achieve on their own!  We love to celebrate any achievement - however big or small.  Please support your child by listening to them reading every day - even just a little bit will help!
