Steph TimminsClass Teacher
My name is Steph Timmins and I am the Year 3 teacher. I am very excited to have joined the 10:10 Federation this year and am looking forward to continuing my teaching career at Benenden Primary School. I am in my 4th year of teaching, having completed a PGCE in Primary Education at the University of Brighton in 2018. Previously, I gained a BA hons degree in English Literature at the University of Portsmouth.
Since I can remember, I've always wanted to be a Primary School Teacher (I can even remember asking my friends whether I could deliver assemblies to them when I was younger!) I have a passion for wanting to provide equal learning opportunities for all children and make learning fun, inclusive and exciting! I love seeing those 'light-bulb' moments and seeing the children's faces light up with enjoyment and passion for their learning. My specialism is History, so I'm very excited to be teaching the Ancient Egyptians and Anglo-Saxons this year. I have also taken on the role of being Humanities subject leader and will also be running the School Council.
When I'm not in the classroom, I love being outdoors! I am a keen horse-rider, enjoy going for hikes with my dog Winston, and quite recently, taking staycations to explore the UK. My current favourite is the Cotswolds!
